2025 Platinum Seal of Transparency Earned

For the 9th year in a row, we at Project K-9 Hero are honored to receive another Platinum Transparency Badge from Candid/GuideStar for 2025.

This places our nonprofit near the top globally for what we do for our nation’s retired Police K-9s and Military Working Dogs, specifically in regards to the amount of funding raised: over $6 million dollars last year, paired with our 90% Program Services, and just 4% in Administration Costs.

Candid/GuideStar is the world’s largest source of information on charity organizations. This rating puts Project K-9 Hero in the top 99.25% of charities nationally in terms of transparency out of 1.9 million nonprofits registered with the IRS. Meaning less than 1% of all nonprofits in the United States receive this level of rating!

The Platinum Seal of Transparency indicates that we at PK9H share clear and important information with the public about our goals, strategies, capabilities, achievements, and progress indicators that highlight the difference our organization makes for the Global K-9 Community.
