Please Welcome K-9 Bruno #348

Please welcome K-9 “Bruno,” as our newest Pack Member (#348) at our Project K-9 Hero Rehabilitation & Rehoming Facility. K-9 Bruno proudly served with the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) within the United States Department of Energy, at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, South Carolina.
Bruno speciazed in Explosives Detection, where he certified with the United States Police Canine Association over 10 times in his career. However, K-9 Bruno developed a history of biting several handlers when trying to put him back in a patrol vehicle, when attempting to secure his reward toy back from him, and during feeding time. These severe aggression and behavioral issues led to his retirement from the government and left him in need of a home after his service.
We at PK9H worked directly with the supervisor of the K-9 Unit to ensure that, once we had space at our 100%-capacity kennels, we would give Bruno the opportunity to come here and work with our experienced K-9 Rehabilitation Specialists.
Bruno quickly took a liking to our 177-acre Rehabilitation & Rehoming Facility during his arrival. It is our goal to take the time necessary to learn all of his triggers and get him to a manageable lifestyle where he can be adopted out to a fur-ever home.
Please take a moment to welcome this Hero to our Pack, as it is our honor to be a trusted resource for Law Enforcement, the Military, and the U.S. Government when K-9s like Bruno need our help the most!
Our Capital Campaign will help ensure that we always have a place to stay for Heroes like Bruno. Please donate today to continue supporting our life-saving abilities.
