Please Welcome K-9 Deni #338

Please welcome K-9 “Deni” (A127) as Project K-9 Hero Program Member #338. On May 18th, our staff met halfway to transport him back to our Project K-9 Hero Rehabilitation & Rehoming Facility, where he did amazingly with our team. We had to make some quick adjustments to our kennels, which were already at 100% capacity, as K-9 Deni needed our immediate help in order to live out the retirement he deserves due to a unique family situation that was no fault of his.

Deni, an eight year old male German Shorthaired Pointer, honorably served with the Department of Homeland Security/Transportation Security Administration - TSA as a Passenger Screening Explosive Detection K-9. He was recently retired on January 15th, 2025, after seven years of service protecting the American public. He was primarily assigned to Seattle Seatac Airport, but also provided support protecting the traveling public to LAX Airport, and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

During his career, Deni passed every single certification and has screened over One Million Passengers. Deni helped support Super Bowl LVI (56 ) at SoFi Stadium in L.A., and was assigned to assist in the car show Concours d'Elegance in Monterey, CA. K-9 Deni also participated in multi-agency operations with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and U.S. Coast Guard, at the Port of Seattle. K-9 Deni was assigned to the 2023 MLB All-Star Game at T-Mobile Park.

We did not want to see Deni placed in an uncomfortable living situation, so we made space to accept K-9 Deni into our pack as Program Member #338.
