Welcome K-9 Frankie #259

Please welcome Project K-9 Hero Program Member #259 K-9 Frankie to our pack. Frankie is 15 years old and experiencing some severe medical complications due to her age, and long term battle with extreme seizures. Frankie has lived a long and happy life, with her handler, who has had her since nine months old. However, the upcoming end of duty bills will be a financial burden on the family, due to other family medical emergencies, therefore we at PK9H will be covering all associated costs at 100%.
K-9 Frankie entered service with U.S. Customs and Border Protection as a certified Narcotics/ Concealed Human Detection Canine in 2009. Throughout her career she was assigned to the Miami Sector Border Patrol - Orlando Station. Frankie was the primary K-9 for the Orlando Border Patrol Station and assisted Orlando DEA, Homeland Security Investigations, Orlando Metropolitan Bureau of Investigations, Orange County Sheriffs Office, Postal Inspectors, and other federal and local agencies.
Frankie had a total of 125 seizures ranging from marijuana, cocaine, MDMA, methamphetamine and all their derivatives. After retirement, she worked an additional two years detecting narcotics for Disney cruise ships in Port Canaveral, Florida
We at Project K-9 Hero are honored to make Frankie Program Member #259, and honor her for her outstanding service to the State of Florida and our Country!
Update: K-9 Frankie reached her End of Watch on November 2nd, 2023. She will not be forgotten.
