Please Welcome K-9 Havoc #399

Please welcome K-9 “Havoc” to our Project K-9 Hero Pack as our 399th Program Member. Havoc honorably served as a Dual-Purpose Patrol/Narcotics Detection K-9 with the Union Township Police Department, in Ohio, from 2018 until he retired on July 2nd, 2026 for medical reasons.

In his eight years of service, Havoc was an extremely accomplished K-9 with over 5000 deployments for narcotic related searches leading to the arrests and prosecution of dangerous criminals. Havoc also helped apprehend a bank robbery suspect, found key evidence from crimes during article searches to include guns, knives, magazines, hammers, clothes, and money dropped by the suspect. Havoc successfully located missing children, and has had multiple finds and apprehensions on tracks.

Havoc had a large cancerous tumor in his bladder that has came back. Havoc also has a couple small lymph nodes that they could not test, but believe it could be cancerous as well in his lungs. He originally went through radiation treatment to help shrink the tumor and will be on Chemotherapy medicine the rest his life, which is now all at the expense of his Handler since he was officially retired this month.

Havoc has a scheduled appointment to do additional bloodwork, an ultrasound, and x-rays for his cancer check up. We are honored to be covering these costs for his very appreciative Handler, which is a monetary amount that would be a financial burden on any actively serving police officer.
