Please Welcome MPC Hans #328
Please welcome Multi-Purpose Canine (MPC) “Hans” as the 328th Member of our Project K-9 Hero Pack. MPC Hans is retired from the United States Navy, where he completed three tours, one with SEAL Team Seven, and two with SEAL Team Five, serving for a total of 7 years.
MPC Hans spent his first years conducting service training and conditioning in preparation to deploy with Naval Special Warfare (NSW). At NSW he specialized in apprehension, tracking, and explosive detection. His missions included direct action, fast-roping, rappelling, and maritime operations which included over-the-beach and interdiction operations.
MPC Hans was recognized by his team members who served alongside him across three CENTCOM deployments for his loyalty, dedication, and his level-headed nature. MPC Hans’ commitment to his unit led to the safe return of his team members, and also contributed to one of the largest seizures of lethal aid in U.S. Navy history. Hans’ teammates knew that he would brave any situation to complete his mission, while also knowing he would demand plenty of platoon’s attention afterwards.
MPC Hans retired in Febuary of 2025, going home with his last handler. He now shares his new life with twin toddlers who love having him in their lives and are very strict handlers.
MPC Hans suffers from spondylosis of the spine, arthritis, and the long term effects of a broken jaw suffered while on active duty. In order to enjoy the pleasures and live a more comfortable retirement, Project K-9 Hero has offered to cover all medical expenses for MPC Hans at 100% for the rest of his life. His active-duty Navy family greatly appreciates the financial assistance offered by our non-profit organization as this War Dog is another member of their family.
