Please Welcome MPC HHudson #412
Please welcome Retired Multi-Purpose Canine “HHudson” into our Project K-9 Hero Pack as our 412th Program Member. MPC HHudson was recently medically retired from the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), due to a severe heat injury, he suffered during his work up for deployment.
HHudson started his career at Lackland Air Force Base, in their puppy program, and showed such potential with his drive, environmental confidence, and ability that he was assigned directly to the U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC).
With MARSOC at Camp Lejeune, MPC HHudson was trained in in explosives detection, tracking, controlled aggression, building and area searches, bite work, in his initial phase of training. MPC HHudson then advanced to amphibious package portion of his training, which consisted of events such as surface swims for canines and handlers at long distances, water insertion and extraction techniques, helo-casting techniques, boat raids, advanced homemade explosive detection and advanced tracking.
From there, MPC HHudson was trained in range work to accustom him to live fire, close quarter combat training, and different insertion and extraction techniques, all leading up to full-mission profiles which he accomplished before the MARSOC MPC program was divested in 2025, ending their 17-year operational history.
MPC HHudson was hand-selected to remain in USSOCOM, and transferred to their Tier 1 maritime counterterrorism and direct-action unit in Virginia Beach, VA. There he went through more advanced training and was deemed to be “fully operational” until his heat injury caused his early medical retirement. After months of planning with his Command, HHudson arrived at our Project K-9 Hero Rehabilitation & Rehoming Facility in Tennessee, and did absolutely amazing with our team expert specialists.
MPC HHudson will be in our rehabilitation program until we feel he is ready for his next step towards a fur-ever home. He is a very special dog, serving in three branches of the military, plus two units of SOCOM, and we will ensure that he ONLY goes to a very special home! We at PK9H are extremely honored to be a trusted resource for the United States Special Operations Command, when a Hero like HHudson needs our help the most.
Please take a moment to welcome MPC HHudson into our Pack! We now have his back for LIFE!
