Please Welcome MPC Robby #390
Please welcome Multi-Purpose Canine (MPC) “Robby” as the 390th Member to our Project K-9 Hero Pack. MPC Robby is retired from the United States Naval Special Warfare (NSW) Command, where he completed four combat tours to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Africa with CENTCOM, WARCOM, and AFRICOM.
MPC Robby came to NSW at just eight months old from Europe and immediately began his rigorous training in preparation to deploy with the Naval Special Warfare Command, where he specialized in apprehension, tracking, and explosives detection. His missions included direct action, fast-roping, and rappelling, as well as visit, board, search, and seizure operations worldwide while serving both on east coast Seal Team Four and west coast Seal Team Three.
MPC Robby was highly recognized by his team members who served along side of him for his loyalty, dedication, commitment, and obedience while serving overseas during the Global War on Terrorism. MPC Robby’s courage and commitment to his unit led to safe returns of his team members. He was always by the side of Special Warfare Operator 1st Class Nathan “Gage” Ingram. According to his family, “Robby was there when Gage was lost.”
During a Naval Special Warfare operational mission on January 11, 2024, in the U.S. Central Command area of operations "in the dark of night, Ingram and his teammates were part of a mission that interdicted a vessel with an illegal shipment of Iranian-supplied ballistic-missile and cruise-missile components, preventing them from reaching Yemen. During the operation, Special Warfare Operator Chief Petty Officer Christopher J. Chambers fell into the water while attempting to board a dhow in heavy seas. Without hesitation, Ingram jumped into the sea to try and save his teammate." SO1 Ingram was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for heroism posthumously for his actions. You may read more from the official NSW Press Release.
MPC Robby was ultimately retired to SO1 Ingram’s Gold Star father, Chet Ingram, who is now taking care of him full time in his son’s honor back in Texas. Due to the sacrifices of this military family, we at Project K-9 Hero have offered to cover all medical expenses, office visits, prescription medication, diagnostic testing, or potential surgeries for MPC Robby at 100% for the rest of his life.
Please take a moment to welcome MPC Robby to the PK9H Pack, and learn more about the “Nathan Gage Ingram Foundation”, SO1 Ingram’s Gold Star Family has set up to carry on his legacy at: https://www.nathangageingram.org
