Please Welcome MPC Troy #327
Please welcome Multi-Purpose Canine (MPC) Troy as the 327th Member of our Project K-9 Hero Pack. MPC Troy is retired from the United States Navy, where he completed two tours with SEAL Team One, serving for a total of six years.
MPC Troy spent his first years conducting service training and conditioning in preparation to deploy with the Naval Special Warfare (NSW) Command. At NSW he specialized in apprehension, tracking, and explosive detection. His missions included direct action, fast-roping, rappelling, and maritime operations, which included over-the-beach, vessel board searches, and seizure operations worldwide.
MPC Troy was highly recognized by his team members who served alongside him for his loyalty, dedication, commitment, and obedience while serving overseas during the Global War on Terrorism. MPC Troy’s courage and commitment to his unit led to the safe returns of his team members. Despite being trained as a War Dog, his team members remember him as a loving, comforting member of their family.
MPC Troy retired in February 2025, going home with his Handler, and his new family, to whom he is a loyal and loving companion in this next chapter of his life.
Though resilient in mind and body, the demands of MPC Troy’s rigorous career have taken their toll, and he will be evaluated for Pannus and other conditions as he ages. In order to enjoy the pleasures of and live a more comfortable retirement, we at Project K-9 Hero will be covering all medical expenses for MPC Troy at 100% for the rest of his life. His still-serving, active-duty Navy family greatly appreciates the financial assistance offered by our non-profit organization as this War Dog means the world to them.
