Career Stats: K-9 Asha served as a Narcotics Detection K-9 with the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office, in Texas, where she seized millions of dollars in illegal narcotics and drug related currency annually. Once she was trained and placed in the field by the K9s4Cop’s program, she quickly rose to becoming a nationally known hero, and was named their “Top Narcotics Seizure” Award Winner in 2018 and 2019. Asha was also featured in our Project K-9 Hero “K-9 Hero Awards.”
As part of her winning our inaugural Narcotics Detection K-9 Hero of the Year Award, being placed in our program in retirement is a part of her prizes. While K-9 Asha retires from service healthy and active, there is no telling what her future may hold after thousands of deployments assisting State, Local, and Federal Agencies all throughout Texas. Regardless of what they may be, we at Project K-9 Hero are here to make sure that all of her medical bills and food are taken care of at 100% for the rest of her life.
