Career Stats: Kay was deployed to Anchorage, Alaska from 2010-2013. Kay participated in VIPR operations, rail, air, maritime and surface security operations. Kay and his handler were members of Customs and Border Patrol Vessel Boarding Team working cooperatively with other agencies to secure commercial vessels at the Port of Anchorage.


K-9 Kay worked security details and did missions for the United States Coast Guard, U.S. Attorney Office, FBI, U.S. Marshal’s Office, Anchorage Airport PD, U.S. Air Force, Alaska Railroad Security, and many other entities.

Originally procured by TSA from Vohne Liche Kennel in 2009, K-9 Kay retired in 2013 due to an on-the- job injury and lives happily in retirement on his handler’s small farm in Washington State. He is a great farm dog and loves going to the beach. Now a days, K-9 Kay visits the local dog-friendly restaurants with his K-9 friends and adding to his impressive collection of 2/3 Kongs (he tears the top off right away).
