K-9 SANTO
MORE ABOUT SANTO
Career Stats: K-9 Santo was assigned to KCRS from March 2013, through his retirement in November of 2015. Santo was one of the first police canines in the Commonwealth of Kentucky to attend and successfully complete S.K.I.D.D.S. in 2012. S.K.I.D.D.S. stands for SWAT & K9’s Interacting During Deployment School. K-9 Santo was a shining example of a true tactical canine hero. Santo has
received numerous awards and citations during his assignment to KCRS. K-9 Santo and his handler, Det. Miguel Rodriguez, to this day, remain one of the best K-9 Teams in KCRS history. Sadly, K-9 Santo passed away unexpectedly with his family and Det. Miguel by his side. Santo will be greatly missed and remembered for all of the work he has done for us.
