It includes our entire Class of '25 with all new Program Members from that year, a tribute to the Program Members we lost, and many standout moments we were able to accomplish thanks to our donors like you.

WELCOME MPC CHICO
Program Member #401
Please welcome Multi-Purpose Canine (MPC) “Chico” to our Project K-9 Hero Pack as our 401st Program Member. MPC Chico served with valor as an integral component of one of the U.S. Army’s elite airborne Light Infantry and Special Operations Units, the historic 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment (2/75).
MPC Chico served as a distinguished team member within the 2nd Ranger Battalion’s War Dog Program. Chico has conducted Special Operations training ranging from Direct Action Raids, Airfield Seizures, and the full spectrum of Multi-Purpose Canine Tactical Applications. MPC Chico has had multiple deployments (5 in total) across the world to meet the needs of his country and unit. His service undoubtedly increased the lethality, capabilities, and survivability of his fellow Rangers.
WELCOME K-9 ROCKY

Please welcome retired K-9 “Rocky” to the Project K-9 Hero Pack as our 402nd Program Member.
K-9 Rocky is a nine-year-old male German Shepherd who honorably served with U.S. Customs and Border Protection for six years, from 2019 to 2025. K-9 Rocky is a Narcotics and Concealed Human Detection Dog that served on the Southwest Border of the United States.
WELCOME K-9 SKYE
Program Member #403
Please welcome K-9 “Skye” to our Project K-9 Hero Pack as our 403rd Program Member. Skye honorably served as a Dual-Purpose Patrol/Narcotics Detection K-9 with the Moosic Borough Police Department, in Pennsylvania.
Late afternoon on Saturday, August 15th, we received an emergency application for assistance. Skye had already spent two days in the ICU prior to PK9H being notified, on the verge of liver failure. That evening, we collected medical records and current bloodwork so our Critical Care Consultant, and Executive Board Member, Dr. Erica O’Donnell, could assess the situation and help make a determination if our nonprofit could help this Hero and Handler financially when they needed it most. Once the records were reviewed, we made a unanimous decision to immediately place Skye into our program and attempt to save her life late that evening.
WELCOME K-9 BURT
Program Member #404
Please take a moment to welcome K-9 "Burt" as Program Member #404 to our Project K-9 Hero Pack! K-9 Burt worked as a Dual-Purpose Patrol Apprehension/Narcotics Detection K-9 at the Chattanooga Police Department from 2016 until August 11th, 2026.
K-9 Burt is an 11-year-old Belgian Malinois with 10 years of faithful service to the Chattanooga Police Department. During his career, he assisted in arresting hundreds of violent criminals and recovering numerous firearms while also working with surrounding law enforcement agencies and several federal agencies. K-9 Burt was also very successful in narcotics detection, racking up a career total in excess of $3 Million dollars in narcotics and currency seizures. This includes three different occasions where his keen nose was instrumental in removing over 1,000 fentanyl pills off the streets, likely saving lives.

Please take a moment to welcome K-9 “Lady” into Project K-9 Hero as the 405th Program Member of our Pack! K-9 Lady honorably served for seven years, from 2019-2026, as an Explosives Detection Canine (EDC) under the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF).
K-9 Lady began her career in Houston, Texas, in August of 2019, where she was assigned to the ATF Houston Gun Crime Strikeforce (Group 5 NIBIN - National Integrated Ballistic Information Network). Lady was utilized daily to search for firearms, shell casings, and ammunition related to violent crimes to include Shootings, Aggravated Robberies, Home Invasions, Homicides, and Kidnappings.
With heavy hearts, we let you know that we lost one Program Member in August of 2026. You can read the full tribute post on our blog.
K-9 HARRY
Program Member #352
It is with an extremely heavy heart that we report the passing of our 352nd Project K-9 Hero Pack Member, K-9 “Harry,” from medical complications.
Harry served as an ATF Certified Accelerant Detection Canine with the State Fire Marshal’s Office in Maine from December of 2016 until November 30th, 2023. Harry was deployed and worked at over 350 fire scenes throughout the Northeastern United States during his career, all throughout Maine and surrounding states.
K-9 Harry had worked with multiple Fire and Law Enforcement agencies, conducting joint investigations. K-9 Harry was responsible for locking up countless arsonists, after he searched fire scenes to find the accelerant(s) used to start the illegal fires. Once pinpointed by Harry, the evidence was collected and sent off to the laboratory for testing, and later used in criminal court to make a conviction.
In addition to fire responses, Harry was utilized by the ATF during the two-week fire investigations basic training portion for new agents at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). Harry also was utilized by the State Fire Marshal’s Office to teach fire prevention, visit schools to talk to children about fire safety, and conduct over 100 community service events or demonstrations.
